  • 34 cups powdered sugar, sifted
  • Milk or heavy cream (2-3 tbsp)
  • Ivory or peach food coloring (for frosting)
  • Candy fangs or Vegan Gelatin (for decoration)
  • Red syrup or edible gel (for drips)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla and red food coloring.
  3. In another bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually combine dry ingredients with the wet mixture while alternating with buttermilk. Stir in baking soda and vinegar.
  4. Fill muffin cups about two-thirds full and bake for 18–20 minutes. Cool in the pan before transferring to a wire rack.
  5. In a small bowl, mix red velvet cake crumbs with sweetened condensed milk and melted butter; add red food coloring for desired color.
  6. Hollow out the cooled cupcakes and fill them with the red velvet mixture.
  7. Beat softened butter for frosting until creamy; gradually add powdered sugar and milk until smooth. Mix in food coloring for skin tone.
  8. Frost each cupcake smoothly and decorate with candy fangs or Vegan Gelatin puncture marks. Drizzle red syrup around for effect.
