  • 1/3 cup chopped green onion (white/light green parts)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce or tamari
  • 2 tablespoons chili garlic sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon honey, maple syrup, or brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions.
  2. In a small saucepan, heat oil over medium heat. Sauté chopped green onion, ginger, and garlic for about 3-5 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add soy sauce, chili garlic sauce, sriracha, honey (or alternative), rice vinegar, toasted sesame oil, and red pepper flakes to the pan. Whisk together and let simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes.
  4. Combine cooked noodles with the sauce in the pan. Simmer for a few minutes to allow flavors to meld.
