  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups peeled and thinly sliced apples (about 3 medium)
  • 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix melted butter, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until combined.
  3. Stir in flour until crumbly. Press two-thirds of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  4. In a separate bowl, toss sliced apples with cinnamon and nutmeg. Spread over the crust.
  5. Drizzle salted caramel sauce on top of the apples and crumble the remaining mixture over everything.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown and apples are tender.
  7. Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
