Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup salted butter (softened)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter (not natural)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 44 Whoppers
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (6 ounces)
  • 1 small tube white cake decorating gel
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar (for rolling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and peanut butter until smooth.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing well. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until combined.
  5. Roll dough into balls about 1 inch in diameter and roll in granulated sugar before placing them on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 8 minutes or until lightly golden. Remove from oven and immediately press one Whopper into the center of each cookie.
  7. Melt chocolate chips in the microwave or double boiler until smooth. Use melted chocolate to create legs by piping onto cooled cookies after they have set.
  8. Finish with candy eyes using white cake decorating gel.
