Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups dry ditalini pasta
  • 2 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoons salted butter
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese (plus more for serving)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Optional: fresh parsley and red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-low heat, add olive oil and minced garlic; sauté until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  2. Add ditalini pasta and stir to combine.
  3. Pour in chicken broth until pasta is covered; add salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for about 9-10 minutes.

  6. Remove from heat; add butter and parmesan cheese, stirring until melted.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning; add red pepper flakes if desired.
