  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, yeast, salt, and sugar.
  2. In another bowl, combine warm milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  3. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients; stir until a dough forms.
  4. Knead on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour or until doubled.
  6. Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf; place it in a greased 9×5 inch pan.
  7. Cover and let rise again for about 30-45 minutes until it rises above the rim of the pan.
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and hollow-sounding when tapped.
  9. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
