Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm milk (about 110°F)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Allow it to froth for 5-10 minutes. Stir in melted butter, eggs, vanilla, and salt. Gradually add flour to form a soft dough.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth. Place it in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise for 1-2 hours until doubled.
  3. Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle (1/4 inch thick). Brush with melted butter and sprinkle the sugar-cinnamon mixture evenly over it. Roll tightly into a log and cut into 12 pieces.
  4. Arrange rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for another 30-45 minutes.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Brush with melted butter upon removal from the oven.
  6. Cool slightly before serving warm or at room temperature.
