  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, divided
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together melted butter and brown sugar until smooth. Add egg, honey, and vanilla; whisk until well combined.
  3. Stir in flour, salt, and ½ teaspoon cinnamon until just mixed.
  4. Pour batter into prepared pan. Combine granulated sugar and remaining ½ teaspoon cinnamon; sprinkle over the top.
  5. Bake for 22–25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
