Instructions

  1. Cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture until combined.
  3. Roll the dough into a rectangle (~¼-inch thick) between parchment paper.
  4. For the filling, mix melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon; spread evenly over the dough.
  5. Roll the dough into a log, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  7. Slice chilled dough into ¼-inch thick rounds and place on the baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. Allow to cool completely.
  9. Mix glaze ingredients (powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla) and drizzle over cookies.
